“Ralev 001″ – is our first official typo experiment – a sans Serif font designed to write both in English and Bulgarian. Way far from perfect, we love it and we want to share it with you. It’s free. Basically – you are free to use it, as long as you don’t redistribute and modify it.

We hope we’ll have the time to improve it. So it’s “beta” for now.

Simple story – a logo design exploration done for a client, dealing with “green” PR. The project is not yet launched officially and probably the client will use another logo that we’ve designed. Time will show.

The “flower-arrow” concept is a big cliche and that’s why it’s so hard something innovative to be done in this direction. The thin elegant lines are reference for many things. The green logotype is a little bit grotesque on purpose. Nothing too boring, like in the nature – the elements find their way to connect each-other – if you like it or not :)

Just a preview of a pattern done with the mark of the logo. Vibrant, natural, techie with a lot of potential.

The products have unique expression inspired by contrast between urban music cultures and street lifestyles of those people who accept the music as an institution. The design philosophy of Friction is focused on keeping longer sense of music and transformed music vibe into details of the clothes. All of our products are limited edition or handmade, because we respect human personality.”
 

If you a the street type – you’ve basically seen everything. That’s why we’ve tried to approach the logo design from unusual perspective. Something that even we haven’t seen.

Combining the 2 words “friction” and “code” in one custom logotype, which could be read in one direction, without moving the logo. Yeah, it’s a bit catchy, but we’ve done it!

Some wip variations of the logo colors, provoked by our focus group which find the logotype too “designish” and “advanced”. So the next goal was to give the users a hint about the second “code” word, that’s hidden in friction. For good or bad – at the end the client picked the “save” variation with the clean not-so-original logotype, which you can see bellow. Damn focus groups 8)

A4 leaflet designed for Modularis products. The 4 column layout is easy to adapt for different text length.

The same layout on light background – color adaptation of the leaflet for another product. The consistent use of graphic elements – shapes, fonts, layout – makes designs look part of a family. That is a solid base for a good branding.

In May 2010 we worked on creating 60 vector female body silhouettes for Dressipi.com – an online social styling network based in the  United Kingdom, where people can get sizing and styling advice on their own unique body shape and personal style.

We were given a set of illustrations of the 5 main body types: inverted triangle, rectangle, triangle, hour glass and round. The 5 basic shapes were the starting point. We had to create variations by incrementally changing some of the body proportions: shoulders, bust-cup size, upper arms, thighs, calves, hips and waist (high, low and standard).

Time Heroes is a web platform that helps organizations find volunteers for different initiatives/causes. Since there are many symbols that illustrate the heroic motive and the task was fun we explored different approches and styles.

In this concept we illustrated the heroic element through a super famous shape. A logo that can speak to a large group of people.

It looked cool in black & white and we presented it as a color version.

The one color version is a good choice for the purposes of projects whit limited budjet for advertisement.

We were tempted to work on a custom logotype. In this versions we explored some medieval feel of the letters that can present the participating volunteers as contemporary knights.

Classic color combination of red and black.

The angel wings are a charming graphic element that draw a more elegant and soft face of the Time Heroes project.
