We recently entered a contest for logo design and logo system for Sofia as a candidate city for European capital of culture in 2019. Our project was selected by the international jury for an exhibition during the Sofia Design Week 2011.

The concept behind the smiling buddy is to present Sofia and people living there as friendly and curious about knowledge and culture. That’s why the symbols “2019” form a smiled buddy.

One of our favorite streets in Sofia was closed for art at the end of Sofia Design Week. It was cool to have a huge board with your designs of the logo at the exhibition in the city centre. It’s always nice to see the people’s reaction when passing by and discussing the designs in front of the authors of the designs.
