Feelme Crew is a team of people, dealing primarily with video shooting and editing. Since there are many creative studios out there in this niche that are using many extraordinary materials for business cards we’ve decided to go with the shape, so that our design could pop-up better.
The very first design version (in process) was monolith ( the upper part of the clapper board wasn’t moving at all ) – then we’ve done some invitations ( for another client ) based on the rivet technology and decided to go with this method for Feelme Crew cards, too. The experiment was successful and not too expensive. We’ve produced our cards with the help of 2 different companies – one for printing and another one, specializing in the bookbinding.
If you try to produce your own cards of this type – be sure that the rivet is put properly. If it’s too loose the upper part will move too freely and this will spoil the overal effect. Paper is 300 grams and there is 30 microns laminate over it. Being hard and solid is very important for this specific design of business card.
By the way – this design was showcased in Smashing Magazine in 2010 ( 2 years later ).
