BG-Mamma.com is the first bulgarian portal concentrated on pregnancy and maternity topics. It’s the biggest social network in Bulgaria for experience and advice sharing between parents but also specialists in the area of childcare, pregnancy and other related areas of expertise.

Few top brand design agencies were selected to present proposals for the brand redesign contest of BG-Mamma.com. We won. Not with our personal favorite, but we won 🙂

This is how the logo was adopted in the new web design of the site by the inside team of the BG-MAMMA. And bellow you can see some of the proposals that were not chosen. Hope you’ll like the selection.

Our first logo project interprets the concept behind the old logo of the site – we used the very well-known symbol of the internet  – the “@” – which was part of the old logo. We used it as a structural element for the logotype and with a very delicate touch we also used it as an icon representing the silhouette of a mother. The spiral shape has its deeper meaning – pregnancy and life is represented as cycles, spiral is also a symbol of wisdom and knowledge. The color palette is playful and full of positive energy.

Our second logo project is a logotype depicting a stylized figure of a mother with kids. The big family is a good way to describe the warm BG-MAMMA society. It is funny and playful, simple and clean. Recognizable in small and big size. The light blue and pink color are typical for the kids topic.

The soft shapes of this custom logotype are inspired by the shapes of the woman’s body, the softness of the baby and its favorite toys.

In this logotype we elegantly combine letters with symbols from the mother & baby’s everyday life. This recognizable objects hidden in the letters speak about the variety of topics that are discussed in BG MAMMA forum. Modern mothers are very concerned about health and nature of the infants and how to make sure their kids grow in healthy environment – that is the inspiration behind the green and blue color.

One more feminine logo project – a stylized butterfly formed from the letter “B” & “G” as a symbol of the beauty and free spirit of women.

This is the “happy smiling kid faces” version where the baby topic dominates. The logotype is clean and unique. Soft shapes and classic baby colors.

Mark + logotype version. It combines both the mother and the baby topic.

One funny interpretation that shows the variety of activities that a mother has to deal with.

The final version is a conversation bubble in the shape of a heart. The main purpose of the site is communication inspired by love and care – this is what the mark represents.
